The outer dome gallery (Domumgang) sits 50 metres above the ground, offering a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view of Berlin’s historic and modern center. Getting to the balcony requires a 270-step climb. There is no elevator access to the dome walkway. The journey is split into two halves: a wide, grand historic staircase for the first section, which transitions into a narrower, tighter spiral staircase for the final ascent to the outdoor platform.
